Homebound Instruction for Students in Special Education (Houston, TX)
If your child is temporarily unable to attend school due to medical reasons, did you know they may still receive instruction at home? This is an officially supported service in Houston ISD. Let’s break it down.
What Is Homebound Instruction?
Houston ISD’s Community Services Homebound Program is designed for students in grades K–12 who are unable to attend school for a minimum of four weeks due to medical or psychological reasons. Services are provided at home or in the hospital by qualified, certified teachers.
