One of the most beautiful gifts Allah has given us is the power of speech. But for some children, especially those with speech delays, finding their voice can take time, patience, and prayer.
As a parent, I’ve tried many therapies and exercises. But along with all the medical help, I found deep comfort and hope in reciting a powerful dua from the Qur’an.
The Dua from the Qur’an
This is the dua Prophet Musa (Moses, peace be upon him) made when he asked Allah to make his speech clear:
Arabic (from the Qur’an, Surah Ta-Ha 20:25-28):
بِسْمِ ٱللّٰهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
رَبِّ ٱشْرَحْ لِى صَدْرِى
وَيَسِّرْ لِىٓ أَمْرِى
وَٱحْلُلْ عُقْدَةًۭ مِّن لِّسَانِى
يَفْقَهُوا۟ قَوْلِى
Transliteration:
Bismillāhir-Raḥmānir-Raḥīm
Rabbi-shraḥ lī ṣadrī
Wa yassir lī amrī
Waḥlul ʿuqdatam-min lisānī
Yafqahū qawlī
English Meaning:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
“My Lord, expand for me my chest (grant me confidence),
Make my task easy for me,
And loosen the knot from my tongue,
So that they may understand my speech.”
How I Use It
Every morning and evening, I recite this dua with love and trust in Allah’s mercy.
Sometimes I:
- Recite it over a glass of water, blow into it gently, and let my child drink.
- Recite it and blow softly on my child’s forehead.
It’s not magic — it’s faith, hope, and prayer. I combine it with speech therapy and patience. In my experience, this dua brings a sense of peace, and I truly believe it opens doors with the will of Allah.

Best Dua for Speech Delay – Meri Kahani
Allah ne humein ek khoobsurat tohfa diya hai — bolne ki salahiyat. Lekin kuch bachon ke liye, khaas kar jinhein speech delay hota hai, apni awaaz paana thoda waqt aur sabr leta hai.
Main ek parent hone ke natey bohot therapies aur exercises try ki. Lekin medical madad ke saath saath, mujhe sukoon aur umeed mili ek bohot khoobsurat dua parhne se jo Qur’an mein aati hai.
Qur’an ki Dua
Yeh wo dua hai jo Hazrat Musa (A.S.) ne Allah se maangi thi jab unhone apni zubaan saaf hone ki dua ki:
Arabic (Surah Ta-Ha 20:25-28):
Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Raheem
Rabbi-shrah li sadri
Wa yassir li amri
Wah-lul uqdatan min lisani
Yafqahu qawli
English Meaning:
Mere Rabb, mera seena khol de (mujhe himmat de),
Mere kaam ko mere liye aasan kar de,
Aur meri zubaan ka bandhan khol de,
Taake log meri baat samajh saken.
Main Kaise Parhti Hoon
Main har subah aur shaam yeh dua pyaar aur yaqeen ke saath parhti hoon.
Kabhi kabhi main:
- Is dua ko paani par parh kar halka sa phook maar deti hoon, phir apne bache ko pilati hoon.
- Is dua ko parh kar bache ke mathay par halka sa phook deti hoon.
Yeh jaadu nahi hai — yeh iman, umeed, aur dua hai. Main iske saath speech therapy aur practice bhi karti hoon. Mere tajurbe mein, yeh dua sakoon deti hai aur Allah ke hukum se raaste kholti hai.
Aap Bhi Kyun Try Karein
- Iman aur mehnat dono zaroori hain – Therapy ke saath dua ka asar bohot gehra hota hai.
- Qur’an ka hissa hai – Nabi ki woh dua jo zubaan saaf karne ke liye maangi gayi.
- Waaliden ko sukoon milta hai – Apne bache ke liye dua karna ek bohot taqatwar amal hai.

Natije Allah ke haath mein hain. Humari zimmedari hai ke hum koshish karein, dua karein, aur Allah ke plan par bharosa rakhein.
