I know how hard it can be to make sure your family has healthy food on the table — especially when you’re juggling appointments, therapies, school, and everything else. Sometimes, you just need a little extra help.

That’s where WIC comes in.
WIC stands for Women, Infants, and Children, and it’s a program that helps pregnant women, new moms, and families with young children (under age 5) get access to healthy foods, nutrition education, and even breastfeeding support.

Who is eligible?

You may qualify if:

  • You are pregnant, just had a baby, or have a child under 5 years old.
  • You live in Texas.
  • You meet the income guidelines (and you don’t have to be on other benefits to qualify).
  • You or your child have a nutritional need, which they help determine during the application.

When my daughter was younger, WIC helped me keep fresh fruits, veggies, milk, and other essentials in the house. It took some of the pressure off — and that peace of mind is priceless.
